Here we are at our new home. We will be tweeking the site in the next few days, weeks – who knows for how long? As a highly creative person with a new toy it could go on for a while. Donna Fontenot is helping me with the technical web stuff and Ruthanne Reid is working on design. The site has to be ready for new visitor scrutiny on our first advertisement date, the 26th of this month.
If you flick through the pages, you’ll notice how much tidier everything looks. It took me ages! Not only does it look better, but it should make it easier for readers to find what they want. And that raises the big question.
What do reader’s want from an online bookstore like this?
I’ve put a poll below for what kind of posts you’d like to see on the site, but I need your feedback on the site in general in the comments below. I want this to be like a bookshop where you walk in and can easily find the kind of book you’re looking for. So the questions I need answered are
- can you easily find the kind of book you want to read? If not, why not, and how can we improve?
- would you like to see any additional book categories?
- what can we offer that other book sites don’t?
- what else can we do to make this the kind of site you’d like to visit and browse around. (A free cup of cyber-coffee perhaps?)
Now for the poll on post content. You can vote as many times as you like for as many categories as you’re interested in.
